Kokopelli Racing is about building habits, confidence, strength, and friendship. We meet athletes where they are and help them grow into the runners and people they’re capable of becoming.
We train hard, support each other, and celebrate progress along the way.

COACHED WORKOUTS
3x per week: Purposeful, age-appropriate training designed to steadily build endurance, sharpen speed, and boost confidence.
SEASONAL TRAINING GUIDANCE
Clear season long athlete development plan with 3x in-person workouts, 3x non-coached workouts, and 3x strength/mobility training.
STRENGTH & MOBILITY
Age-appropriate strength and mobility training and education. This unsupervised program includes resistance and plyometric exercises with specific movements, sets, and reps. Strength work is aimed at experienced middle- and high-school athletes.

Positive teammates, supportive coaches, and shared experiences that create friendships and memories to. last a lifetime.
RACE OPPORTUNITIES
While we do not have any racing included in our summer program, we do offer 2+ racing opportunities:
- RunningLane Championships, May 22nd & 23th in Huntsville, Alabama
- Nike Outdoor Nationals, June 18th- 22nd in Eugene, Oregon

SUMMER PROGRAM | Frequently Asked Questions

Summer Training is for runners ages 7–19 of all abilities. Whether you're new to running or training for a competitive cross-country season, our program is designed to help every athlete improve, build confidence, and develop a lifelong love of running.

Absolutely. We encourage graduating seniors to continue training with us before college. We'll coordinate with your college coach (when appropriate) to align your summer training and help you arrive on campus prepared.

Come on time, ready to work, and with a positive attitude. Practices focus on building endurance, improving running form, developing skills, and preparing for the fall cross-country season through a variety of workouts and terrain.

No. We simply ask that athletes can run one mile continuously in under 11 minutes. Exceptions may be approved by the head coach.

Once you've registered and completed payment, you'll be added to our Summer Training group and receive access to your training plan and program resources.

We use Stack TeamApp for all announcements, schedules, and updates. After registering, you'll be invited to join the Summer Training group. Please create your own account and check the app regularly.

Start after you've taken a proper break following your track season. We recommend 10–14 days off (minimum of one week) before beginning summer training to allow your body and mind to recover.

We train at a variety of locations throughout Colorado Springs and the surrounding area, taking advantage of local trails, parks, and running routes.

No. Program fees remain the same regardless of your start date. Coaching staff and athlete-to-coach ratios are planned before the season begins to provide a high-quality experience for every athlete.
